The Latest in February
Last week, we had the privilege of bringing together 300+ sustainability leaders, policy makers, and technology innovators from across India for the GNFZ Net Zero Deep Dive Conference in Bangalore. With the theme “Net Zero – From Aspiration to Action,” we explored how to navigate the complexities of decarbonization and discussed practical strategies that businesses must take to reduce emissions while ensuring economic feasibility.
During a day of captivating fireside chats with industry leaders and deep-dive master classes on net zero energy, emissions, water, and waste, discussions centered on a multi-dimensional approach to achieving net zero, encompassing the implementation of best-in-class green building strategies and technologies, renewable energy integration, carbon offsetting, circular economy models, and policy-driven frameworks, demonstrating real-world examples from the top performing net zero case studies.
We also celebrated the companies, projects and people leading the way in India during our award ceremony. The conference wrapped up with an energetic audience roundtable session that gave attendees a chance to voice their perspectives, ask questions from the experts, and exchange ideas.
A memorable moment for me was interviewing consumer tech giant Zomato’s Chief Sustainability Officer Anjalli Ravi Kumar, who shared powerful insights on Zomato’s net zero journey, including their target of 100% EV-based delivery by 2030. Stay tuned for the full video of our conversation and much more in the coming weeks!

Ask an Expert
Q: How can GNFZ help my project achieve net zero goals across energy, water, waste, and emissions?
A: GNFZ’s Net Zero Certification for Buildings offers a comprehensive certification framework that helps both new and existing buildings achieve net zero across four key categories: Energy, Water, Waste, and Emissions. Our certifications ensure that buildings are designed, constructed, and operated to eliminate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, generate more energy than they consume, save more water than they use, reduce waste, and enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of occupants.
Our certification is now available during three stages: Net Zero Design Certification, Net Zero Construction Certification, and Net Zero Operations Certification. The goal of our certification program is to provide a clear, structured framework for buildings at any stage — whether in design, construction, or operations — to meet and maintain leading global standards like SBTi and adhere with regulatory compliance. We support projects in their journey to a sustainable future, no matter where they are in their development, by helping them assess and understand their emissions and create credible net zero plans.
