Senior Vice President of Operations for the Global Network for Zero, Tapan Mozumdar applies his nearly four decades of experience in construction design and project management to help GNFZ clients develop net zero plans, identify successful pathways to implementation, and achieve their climate commitments and targets. Tapan has extensive experience guiding clients towards sustainability and net zero certification across major industry sectors including residential, commercial, manufacturing, and data centers.
An engineer by training, Tapan’s areas of expertise in addition to sustainable design and project management include Building Information Modeling (BIM), commissioning, execution of large scale electrical, automation and substation projects, real estate development and strategic planning. Prior to joining GNFZ, Tapan was a member of the Executive Committee member of the Central Projects Organisation of ITC Ltd, one of India’s leading private sector companies. Prior to ITC Ltd, he held design, sales and project management positions at Mani Square, Siemens and MECON.
Tapan has led several large-scale projects using rating systems viz. LEED, GRIHA and Net Zero Carbon, ensuring they achieved the client’s goals of achieving the highest levels of green building certifications including LEED Platinum and GRIHA 5 Star. His project for ITC LTD, ‘Sankhya’, was certified as the world’s first LEED v4 Platinum Data Centre and later the world’s first LEED Zero Carbon Data Centre.
Tapan is committed to drive the mission of net zero in the built environment. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur.
