Federal Agencies'​ Climate Adaptation Plans Poised to Shape Climate Governance Standard

Last week more than 20 federal agencies released their respective "Climate Adaptation Plans," per President Biden’s January Executive Order on “Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad.” 

There’s much to digest. But the clearest overarching takeaways are that the purchasing power of the federal government - the single largest U.S. building owner - will soon become a more active lever in the race to decarbonize our buildings, and that the Plans will likely go on to serve as a template for best practices in advancing the climate resilience and sustainability of real property, supply chains and institutional operations.
