Hamoda Youssef is a seasoned design, technical, management and communications professional with nearly two decades of experience at the forefront of the sustainable and regenerative design industry. As the current Director of Client Development at Toronto-based ClimateFirst Building Solutions, Hamoda manages and supports business development and client relationships to promote a thriving climate-resilient real estate sector.

Prior to joining ClimateFirst, Hamoda was Corporate Solutions Manager at Morningstar Sustainalytics, where he applied his analytical, technical, and communication skills to support clients in assessing their sustainable financing initiatives. Before joining Sustainalytics, Hamoda led the technical affairs, communications and sustainability programs at the Qatar Green Building Council and coordinated sustainability integration efforts for a variety of projects.

Hamoda’s industry recognition includes actively serving as a member of the LEED and WELL rating system’s faculty, a Living Future Ambassador and serving as an adjunct faculty member teaching sustainable interior design at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Virginia and Doha based campuses. He is a recognized expert on topics including regenerative development, resiliency integration, sustainable finance, green building planning and design strategies, wellbeing, circularity, climate actions and net zero pathways.

As part of the Global Network for Zero’s Advisory Group, Hamoda’s deep expertise will be leveraged to ensure a successful net zero journey for our clients – particularly in informing the net zero planning stage – and growing our international network of net zero advocates.
