As Global Network for Zero’s Vice President of Market Development, Gaurav Mukhija is responsible for helping GNFZ clients meet their net zero targets. Gaurav brings extensive expertise to this role with over 16 years guiding industry-leading clients across India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, China,Canada, Singapore, Bangladesh, Japan, Nepal, and Myanmar to meet and exceed their sustainability design requirements.
An architect by training, Gaurav is a sought-after industry expert on engineering, sustainable design, health and wellness, business and market development, and urban-scale projects.
Prior to joining GNFZ, Gaurav served as sustainability specialist at BECHTEL in Saudi Arabia where he worked closely with NEOM Environmental Sector, NEOM Projects, Design Consultants, construction contractors throughout the design review cycle and construction to monitor progress on sustainability strategies and targets. Prior to this, he served as a sustainability consultant at JACOBS UAE and India where he was a senior member of the strategic consulting team and made substantial contributions toward various LEED for Cities projects including the NEOM Vault LEED for Cities and Communities Feasibility Report.
Gaurav’s successful career also included a five-year stint at GBCI India, where he served as head of market development for GBCI/USGBC for North India. In this role, he was responsible for expanding LEED’s presence in the region and handling high-profile accounts including DLF, American Express, HCL, ITC, GMR, Renew, Infosys, Amity University. CBRE, AECOM, WSP, Brookfield, Hines, Adobe, PepsiCo, Coca Cola, Master Card, IKEA, Bank of America, Hyatt, Hilton, Adidas, and JLL, among others. He also supervised and mentored the GBCI market development team and executed Greenbuild India in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Gaurav is also a member of the USGBC Faculty.
Gaurav is a LEED AP (EB O&M), TRUE Advisor, IGBC AP, GRIHA Trainer and Evaluator with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and master’s degree in business administration. He has experience with multiple ratings systems including LEED, LEED Zero, Net Zero, Mostadam, Living Building Challenge, WELL, ENVISION , and IGBC green building projects.
