As GNFZ’s European Market Lead, Blake is responsible for cultivating strong relationships with clients and partners across Europe. As Creative Services Director, he’s helping to tell their stories and build — global! — momentum behind a shared net zero mission. His background in brand strategy, design research, and urban studies build the foundation for his work with communities in cities around the world.
Blake is a Design Trust Fellow and has designed with globally recognized organizations from Starbucks to the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Prior to joining GNFZ, he was the designer for the Center for Active Design where he supported initiatives for the Fitwel certification system. For the past several years, he has simultaneously been a consultant with the Violence Prevention and Response Unit at the IRC where he helps prepare research publications, co-facilitates adult learning curriculums, and aids in inclusive insight collection processes that inform humanitarian response strategies. His approach to design, research, and brand development is collaborative and always prioritizes creating shared understandings.
Blake is an American-born, Copenhagen-based designer and urbanist. He holds his BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design and his MA in Theories of Urban Practice from Parsons School of Design Strategies, The New School.
